Three charged with stealing $10,000 copper wire from Texas baseball diamond


All three are being held on the state prison felony charge at the Orange County Jail.

ORANGE, Texas — Two men and a woman are charged with stealing copper wire last month from baseball diamonds in the city of Orange worth approximately $10,000.

According to a press release from Orange police station.

According to police, in the early morning hours of Friday, April 15, 2022, the three stole copper wire from baseball fields in the city of Orange. Between the damage and the stolen copper wire, the total loss in the fields was around $10,000 according to police.

Orange Police Department detectives have been following leads and speaking to witnesses since the robbery and recently obtained arrest warrants.

All three were arrested Wednesday, May 4, 2022, at their home by detectives with the assistance of the West Orange Police Department, the statement said.

The three are being held on felony charges in the Orange County Jail State Jail, where their bail has yet to be set.

Hickman also faces a charge of theft of property worth $150 to $750 according to prison records.
