SeniorsPlus of Lewiston plans to present Care Partner Support Series – Five Sessions to Change remotely from 5:30-7 p.m. Thursdays March 17-April 14.

This free virtual webinar series is designed to educate and connect care partners of someone with dementia. There is no fee for the program, but participants will need to commit to participating in all five sessions from a quiet room with a computer/laptop/mobile device with a microphone and camera, and internet and e-access. -mail. All participants will be invited to attend a short orientation session a few days before the first session to resolve any technical issues.

Snow specializes in dementia care and dementia education. Her life mission is to shine a positive light on dementia. Led by certified Positive Approach consultants and trainers, the series will run over five weekly 90-minute sessions. Snow videos, filmed at the Lewis-Mason-Thurston Area Agency on Aging, will be shown at each session to raise awareness, provide knowledge and stimulate discussion.

The series includes topics such as Coping with Dementia, Skills and Coping, The Long Journey, Taking Stock – Taking Care of Yourself, and Putting It All Together. The series is conducted using a virtual meeting room. Participants will be able to see each other and converse with each other.

These sessions are designed to help caregivers in real-life situations, to guide them through troubleshooting, and to provide skills and knowledge that are unique to the program.
