The Packers Vs. The Cancer Effort, which aims to raise awareness about all cancers, increase cancer screenings, and raise money to fight the disease, runs throughout October. The Packers Pro Shop sells two new Packers Vs. Cancer New Era Hats: a black cap and a black and green knit winter beanie, both featuring a Packers logo on the front and Packers Vs. Cancer logo on the side . The hats are available now, in-store and online, with $ 5 from each hat sale direct to the Vince Lombardi Cancer Foundation. Buyers of the Packers Pro Shop can also participate by adding $ 1 or more to their purchase through October, which will contribute to the VLCF’s ongoing cancer research programs.
Sunday’s halftime game will pay tribute to the champion Super Bowl XXXI team, with several dozen alumni from the 1996 roster to celebrate the game’s 25th anniversary. The elders will be introduced from the fourth level of Lambeau Field.
The Packers strongly encourage game participants to follow updated CDC guidelines, which include wearing a mask indoors, regardless of vaccination status. Packers staff members will wear masks in indoor spaces on match day, including club levels and the Packers Pro Shop and Packers Hall of Fame. While match participants are not required to wear masks, the Packers are encouraging fans to bring masks to the match for use in indoor areas. Fans are reminded that all tickets are mobile only as the Packers have switched to mobile tickets. Participants are requested to arrive on time at the gate indicated on their ticket and have their mobile tickets ready to be scanned, as entry may take longer than normal as fans and staff adjust to mobile tickets.
Fireworks will be triggered from the stadium roof one hour before kick-off to remind fans to start traveling to the stadium in order to be inside before kick-off. This year’s pre-game will include new videos, new graphics, and an exciting new player intro tunnel feature. The the team asks for patience fans before and during the game, as Lambeau Field continues to ramp up to full staffing levels in dealerships, retail and customer service. Fans may encounter longer-than-normal lines in certain areas or see concession stands that are not open or have limited menus.
Besides parking, which is cash only, fans should note that Lambeau Field and all of its businesses are now cashless. Fans should plan in advance to bring credit / debit cards or use contactless payment solutions. A cash-to-card converter station is available in the Atrium for those who do not use credit / debit cards.
Ahead of the national anthem, the Packers and WPS Health Solutions will recognize US Army and National Guards veteran Eric Bebee and his family through Operation Fan Mail on video panels. Country pop singer Lindsay Ell will sing the national anthem. Two T-38 Talons will perform an overflight, with the overflight team made up of natives of Wisconsin.
At halftime, the High School Quarterback Challenge, presented by HPE and Camera Corner will take place on the field. The competition will feature players from Madison West High School in Madison and Campbellsport High School in Campbellsport, Wis.
Fans are reminded of the stadium’s security policy.
