It’s been a week since Ring of Elden came out, and many players on PS5, Xbox Series and the PC continues to experience performance issues, multiplayer issues, and now issues with Steam cloud saves.

Official Twitter account of The Elden Ring tweeted Friday about a conflict with saves that could occur when playing the game on Steam. When starting Elden Ring, players may receive a “Cloud Sync Conflict” message due to an error saving the game to the cloud correctly.

If players receive this message, they should double-check which save is most recently updated, whether it’s the local file save or the cloud save. This will most likely be the local file backup. Players who do not check this run the risk of downloading a cloud save that could be much older, resulting in hours or days of loss progress. Publisher Bandai Namco is advising PC gamers to back up their saved games while the company works on a fix.

Bandai Namco apologized last week for performance issues experienced by players at Elden Ring. This included slow gameplay, choppy frame rates, and high sensitivity when using a mouse.

“We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and ask for your patience,” the company said.

He suggested that PC gamers check that they have the latest drivers for their graphics cards to mitigate game performance issues. Bandai Namco says patches to address these issues will be coming in the future.

PS5 players had their own issues to deal with. If the console’s power is cut off while playing or in rest mode, this will prevent player progress from being saved. An update released on Tuesday appears to have fixed this issue.

Valves steam bridge, the company’s portable PC gaming device, was released on February 25, and it doesn’t handle Elden Ring very well. A coder with the company tweeted On Saturday, he’s working on an update to fix issues with the game.

Xbox gamers also had to deal with their issues. Last weekend, they were unable to participate in Elden Ring multiplayer due to a network issue.

The Xbox Support Twitter account confirmed that the issue was resolved on Saturday evening.
